Alessandro Spadari
Born in Milan in 1969. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1997, where he now teaches Painting. Already during his years of study, he began painting and exhibiting in some group shows. The layering of colors, the overlapping of techniques, materials and speed of gesture on the canvas, unique in this latest series of Spadari's works, tell of the contemporary world that also changes here with surprising accelerations, imbuing air, history and imagination with irrepressible energy.
His painting is a ritual dance, an action painting to the sound of music, a cathartic moment in which the broad gesture bursts onto the canvas almost daubing it, battering it expertly, waiting for it to react to gravity, to drip to the ground, to be taken up in a paso doble by the broad brush.
